Four Qualities of Reiki

"These four qualities of Reiki are:

1. The ability to do Reiki comes from receiving an attunement, rather than developing the ability over time though the use of meditation or other exercises.
2. All Reiki techniques are part of a lineage. This means that the technique has been passed on from teacher to student through an attunement process starting with the one who first channeled the technique.
3. Reiki does not require that one guide the energy with the mind, as it is guided by the higher power and knows where to go and how to act all on its own.
4. Because of this, Reiki can do no harm.

If a healing technique has these four qualities, then it can be considered to be a Reiki technique.

I saw an angel, I think it was Raphael. Raphael is the patron of healers and those in need of healing.

I also saw turquoise stones.
Turquoise is one of the oldest protection amulets, and was also known as a symbol of wealth in many ancient cultures.

Reiki Training

I had a chance to audit Reiki 1 again last weekend and Reiki 2 yesterday through Arise Counseling. The experience was great. Since I've been doing Reiki (since last Thanksgiving) I have discovered that I am clairvoyant (visually receptive). I'm not saying that I have ESP. I am extremely intuitive. And during the light trance induced by Reiki, I receive incredible images. I am now coming to trust it. I felt much closer to this small group, maybe because of how much I love Reiki now. They are going to schedule follow up Reiki circles with this group. I think that is wonderful because it is so important to have support in this Reiki community/path.
Last weekend, the strongest impact was hearing from the teacher that she sensed my father was present. I have felt that already. He is a very strong and loving spirit. He wants to make up for having been absent in my life. She said he will be with me always as one of my guides. She also said that my name is too small.

My father named me, or I would have been "Mireille" (mother's choice). We discussed my name at both Reiki classes. I know he also considered Mary Jane. I would like more than one syllable. Janelle, Janeane, Jana, Jade, Jadrien. We all decided I have an affinity with the Goddess Diana and that name...

Yesterday she showed us the hall of the healers, where we belong. Here I heard the name Ashanti. I looked it up and this is a tribe in Ghana. Shanti also means peace. The teacher said this must be my lineage as a healer.

I am also finding that I am spiritual bridge, with feet in several camps. As we move from the Pisces age to the Aquarius, maybe the different religions can stop disparaging each other. It was funny, when christianity came up at the beginning of class, everyone was expressing the usual feeling of restriction, but by the end, the teacher was talking about how often Mary and Jesus are present as guides for Reiki.

Reiki for Kids

How can Reiki help children?Behavioral problems in children are often linked with emotional traumas and their family situation. We accumulate emotional traumas from the moment we are born (even before) and throughout our lives these hinder us in our personal development and growth. Children who 'misbehave' are often externally expressing their anger at something they do not know how to deal with.

All emotional traumas carry a negative energy that stays within the body and needs to be energetically removed. Reiki can be used actively to heal the negative energy associated with the traumas that are causing the child's behavioral problems. Once this has been achieved the pain from that traumatic experience will be gone and the child will no longer feel the negative emotions associated with it, dramatically altering their behavior. Because parenting is such a vital component of a child's development we are happy to consult with the parents of children with behavioral disorders and offer them Reiki treatments to help improve their relationship with their children. Active Reiki offers amazing results with emotional traumas in adults and children, including traumatic events such as rape and abuse. I am happy to offer Reiki treatments to children (and their parents) with behavioral problems, to help them enjoy a better life and improve their academic performance.
